Now, on topic, if you think it's a good thing to get ability w/o any experience or practice, then yes I'd imagine you would like it. Some of us took the hours necessary to become good interrupters, not just in the timing of it, but in the planning, in knowing what they are casting now vs. what they'll be casting next... good interruption requires prediction as well as positioning and timing. Well it did, anyway. Now that's removed.
Heh. Ego? Look at your previous post for that. And sorry that you were so insulted by my post. It was just a reflection of yours actually.

You've basically called everyone idiots and noobish just because they like the skill monitor and (old news) the Elite skills acquisition. But feel free to throw more tantrums.

Oh and can someone point out how farming in general is nerfed? There are other classes other than monks or monk secondaries that can farm you know....

You can tell alot about the quality of the changes by who complains. You'll note none of the known good players have complained in this thread and almost all the steers have.

Good update, ArenaNet.

yeah, which is exactly why rank doesent mean shit. there arent 'good players' in GW, there is no solo mode. only good teams.

From a quick glance over the skill changes, i have formed the following opinions:

pvp:
All major iconic builds (mo/me; e/mo; w/r IWAY; spike ranger) of late got destroyed. mo/me is still playable, but no longer the only option. The only 2 real warrior builds (hammer and evisc (they should rename axe to eviscarate ) remain unaffected.
Overall, the changes are good if you like blurred character concepts instead of a couple iconic builds duking it out. Thats what pvp players want, i think. Creativity and diversity. Im not sure i like it, but the changes are certainly good for the pvp scene.

pve.

1. secondary mesmers got nerfed to hell and back. Except one: e/me nuker.
2. Solo farming is "nerfed" in the way that is even less straight forward. Its doable, but it starts to get close to team play. Its slower, more dangerous. Might be no longer worth the hassle. So instead of increasing the drops / rewards during team play, they try to nerf solo back down to the pathetic team level. I cant see a reason to not farm with a war / monk / ele nuker - team unless there is a hidden script that reduces drops based on party composition.

Primary mesmers got hit hard, because everyone will perceive the changes to be mesmer nerfs. They hit secondary mesmers much harder then primary ones though. They can still forget PUG play - and i would not take them along in guild teams without pity being involved (or hex-heavy high areas ). While 3s on diversion makes it primary only, why bother when you can just use another ele/me nuker? Dead mobs are shut down for good. Imho mesmers now have only one role to play in pve: shatter hex the warrior and backfire and interupt everything that the warrior failed to herd into an AoE trap. I will need to test out other smiting skills to be able to tell wether smiting is still worth it in pve teamplay. You have an meteor-throwing death from above-ele as a benchmark. Hmm

Ether renewel: any purpose left for this skill? The only way to use this is an e/mo smiter alternating draw cond and something else. ironic, no?

Soooo much crying - and about Hex Breaker, too. Myself, I see little change with it. Now you'll have to put bit more into domination, but it will go like that - you use it before actual battle, so it is recharged by the time first hex hits, and than immediately recast it once it goes down - blocking 2nd hex. 3rd one gets through - as it always did, so overall, it's the same.
I wonder if some people actually tested changes, or simply started complaining when they saw their favorite skill changed. I highly doubt it, since it would take more than few hours to accurately judge all changes.

what about power block?
what about power leak you so you don't have energy for obsidian?

btw. now I will change my energy drain to power drain on my monk... anyway energy drain is a crappy spell now, 30 sec recharge... what's elite in it now?

2nd EDIT: Has hundred blades been tested with a 5 or 6 second cool-down time? 8 seconds for an elite melee attack with no damage-boost seems a bit excessive, making it non-viable for most pvp.

No damage boost? Buddy, you hit two times, effectively doubling your base damage, and incorporating strength armor penetration. You also get a ridiculous amount of adrenaline when it is used effectively, setting yourself up for adrenal chains.

What a suprise, Farming monks take another hit.

I'd have to agree with the post regarding game stability.
This game NEEDS farmers. Period. If you don't believe me
go into either Lions Arch 1, Droknar's 1, or Deldrimoor War
Camp 1. People charge INSANE amounts for items.

'ZOMG GARGATH'S SWORD 100K&25 ECTO LOLZ!!!!'

Farmers need to exist, both to make money for themselves,
and to keep bringing items/materials into circulation.

Anet continues to nerf the everloving crap out of farming builds,
citing that they're 'Too unbalanced for PvP.' When anyone with
a brain in their head would realize a farming monk would be royally
owned in pvp.

I didn't make a fuss when Anet screwed up protective bond. It happens,
it seperates the good farmers from the people who just read it on GWG,
(no offense) and grind up a monk for farming. I continued to hold my
tongue when Anet added the 'Dying Nightmares' in UW, solely to remove
a solo monks enchantments and die. They don't do anything else besides
normally attack. Again, I turned the other cheek and threw Spell Breaker
on my build.

And yet again, my patience is tested with the nerfing of Zealot's Fire
and Balth's Aura. The almost crippling nerfs in the past have been bad
enough, but this is getting ridiculous. If nothing else the price of Ecto
should spike soon because of the increasing difficulty involved in getting
them.

Just my .02. I get anal about the Mo nerfs because it was my first class,
and I guess it's just loyalty.

The only problem I really have is that with the new skill display on an enemy, it goes outside of the box. It messed up my interface, so when an enemy uses a second skill it appears over my skillbar. Kinda frustrating.

Something tells me that removing the half healing on AotL was a very bad idea. Time will tell.

The Dolyak Signet boost made me very happy. The major boost to Riposte and Deadly Riposte made one of my farming spots a lot easier. Farming griffins is slightly tougher (and longer) as can be expected with the 2 second cast time on Balthazar's now. Maybe I'll actually play as my ranger again and try to set a pet max damage record.

Energy denial. Again I can't speak for pve, but in PvP, energy denial was rediculous. Imagine playing an entire 30-40 minute match with 3-4 characters on yoru team at or near 0 energy. Energy lock was crazy. While energy denial should be effective, having your enenrgy at 0 for an entire much is no fun at all.
Well explained, but unnecessary. This chap is heavily overreacting. 10 times hexed? he's got to be joking...

No, it's your farmer side crying about it. Monk is my first class, yet I don't complain, I didn't make her to be farmer, I made her to heal&protect. I don't think soloing supposedly hardest area in game was Anet intention - dissagree if you want.

I made mine to heal and protect as well, but with people online blaming
the monk for.......EVERYTHING......yes, everything, (I've even had group
spawnings blamed on me) I got tired of taking people's crap. So a farming
I will go.

I agree with u Sister. Now Soloing is very, very hard... . How can i get my fissure set, when i cant farm ? LOLz. I know its game with primary pvp, and secondary pve... . I dont give shit to this. I dont want to look like others, i wanna my unique char in Tombs, guild etc. etc.

IMHO another killer update by ANET. They nerfed all whats good in this game, and left bad stupid IWAY, Drok Armors on low lvl arenas.

p.s Sorry for my english.
